T-Mobile Customers Receive Recognition for Tree Planting Efforts

T-Mobile customers were recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation with the 2010 Promise to the Earth Award. The annual award honors individuals and organizations involved in exemplary tree planting and environmental practices. T-Mobile and its customers, through a partnership with the foundation, planted over one million trees last year. For each Green Account opened, a tree was planted. Our customers helped replant and reforest areas all over the country, from Michigan and California to Florida and Oregon.

Trees are an integral part of the eco-system, from improving the quality of rain water to reducing the possibility of flooding. Over the course of its life, a single tree can absorb more than a ton of carbon. More than 180 million people rely on U.S. forests for their drinking water.

Keeping our forests healthy is vital to the well being of the planet and T-Mobile is committed to doing its part to help sustain them. You can join us by signing up for a Green Account, which consists of:

  • Paperless Billing
  • EasyPay
  • E-mail updates
